RULES

Goal
All players form one team and lay down every number card in their hands in order.
Flow
With no turn order, at any moment play either the smallest white card or the largest red card from your hand onto the table.
Win
2 players clear 12 levels, 3 players clear 10, and 4 players clear 8 to win as a team; running out of lives means defeat.
Twist
You can't show your cards or talk to each other, and you must manage two simultaneous piles — ascending white and descending red.

The hardcore version of the worldwide hit 'The Mind' — a pure cooperative brain-melting puzzle where, without any talking or signals, players must rely purely on their shared sense of timing and telepathy to lay down ascending and descending cards simultaneously. In the Extreme edition, cards from 1 to 100 must be played onto two simultaneous piles — ascending (white) and descending (red) — and certain rounds even add a 'Blind' rule where cards are played face-down, demanding breathless tension and the deepest possible unspoken sync.

When players' internal sense of timing differs so much that cards keep clashing and the run keeps busting, causing frustration; when a player finds the signature silent rule itself — relying purely on intuition and timing with zero talking — tiring; or when you want a fierce competitive game where players directly clash and sabotage each other.

Scores by situation

New faces+

♡♡♡♡★ [Safe Bet] The rules take about a minute to explain and are very intuitive. Thanks to the clear, unique cooperative rule of 'play cards in order without talking,' it clicks instantly even with strangers or a couples' meetup, and the chills of pulling it off make it a top-tier icebreaker that shatters awkward silence in one shot.

Close friends+

♡♡♡♡♡ [Dopamine Explosion] When close friends sit in silence reading each other's eyes and then blow it by playing at the same unlucky moment, the ensuing screams and shouting are overwhelming. On the flip side, the dopamine rush and high-fives when you clear the whole run without a single word are a guaranteed 100% entertainment cheat code.

Strategy+

♡♡☆☆☆ [Undersized] For an intermediate strategist crowd that loves tight engine-building and deep long-term calculation, the system is too lightweight and has luck baked in. But as a light bridge card to cool the brain and reset the mood before or after a heavy strategy game, it's excellent.

Couple+

♡♡♡♡★ [Master of Give and Take] This is 100% cooperative, not competitive, and the process of syncing your heart and sense of timing with your partner creates a strange emotional bond and shared accomplishment. A perfect 2-player healing/cooperative cheat code for couples to sit side by side and sync their telepathy (whether chatting or in silence).

Duel+

♡♡♡☆☆ [One-Off Match] In 2-player mode, the tight cooperative puzzle of perfectly reading each other's timing and breathing comes through beautifully. But since it's not a competitive duel where you pressure and overpower an opponent, it's better suited to a light coffee-money bet or a warm-up round.

Gateway+

♡♡♡☆☆ [Decent Gateway] It's an intense way to teach the puzzle joy of mind-sync and cooperation, but its highly intuitive, unusual system isn't the right teacher for the grammar of 'modern Euro strategy games' that build up resources and infrastructure.
