RULES VIDEO
Built around a distinctive 'trapping' mechanism — play your card into the row of bird cards on the table, and if the same bird ends up bookending a stretch of cards, you scoop up everything in between — this is a set-collection and hand-management card game where you race to complete a beautiful bird collection first, either one of each of 7 species or three each of 2 species.
※Play this with someone who finds even calculating the basic trap-and-collect card flow each turn a chore, or who really hates the gut-punch of building their collection carefully only to have another player suddenly empty their hand, forcibly scattering the precious bird cards they were holding.

New faces+−
♡♡♡♡☆ [Safe Bet] Barely any barrier to entry: place a card next to the row of birds, and if matching birds bookend a stretch, sweep up everything between them. The cute, charming bird art wins over strangers visually too, making it a great safe bet for lightly laughing, cooling your head, and getting conversation going.
Close friends+−
♡♡♡♡♡ [Dopamine Explosion] With close friends, the interaction tension explodes as everyone tries to monopolize a species or blatantly snatches away a bird someone else desperately wants. When someone empties their hand in one move, forcing the round to end and scattering everyone else's carefully held cards (forced discard), the trademark best-friends rage and sitcom reactions kick in — dopamine guaranteed.
Strategy+−
♡☆☆☆☆ [Punching Below Its Weight] A somewhat light filler for intermediate players who prefer tight, heavy resource-cycling mechanisms or complex Euro building. Draw luck and round-ending timing play a fair role, so instead of deep engagement it's better suited as a great 15-20 minute palate-cleanser between main games.
Couple+−
♡♡☆☆☆ [Quiet Study Room] With two players, the tension of trapping birds loosens up, and the game settles into a charming flow of quietly filling in your own field guide across the table. Couples hoping for the satisfying feel of richly building up their own space in a cozy, quiet mood may find it a bit dull.
Duel+−
♡☆☆☆☆ [Downtime Hell] Not recommended for a two-player rivalry built purely on skill and logical calculation to fully control an opponent. The system's charm comes from a crowd reading the ever-shifting central row and trapping/scooping opportunistically, so the structural tension flattens out when reduced to a head-to-head duel.
Gateway+−
♡♡♡♡☆ [Level 4 (Recommended)] Very clear rules that elegantly teach two foundational, core board-game mechanisms — hand management and set collection. The strategic fun of maneuvering to trap and scoop cards, plus the satisfying feel of proactively engineering when the round ends, make this a recommended pick that delivers ideal fun to eager newcomers.
