RULES VIDEO
Become a great commander of the ancient world, drafting resource, science, and military cards from decks shared with your neighbors to be the first to complete your own Seven Wonders of the World, in this ultra-light civilization-building drafting game. On your turn you simply take one card — from 'my left pile,' 'my right pile,' or 'the flipped center pile' — an incredibly simple rule. Physically build up your wonder's stages with collected resources, wage war on your neighbors by building military strength to earn progress tokens, and enjoy the speedy, surprisingly sharp jockeying of this well-made party-strategy hybrid.
※With a hardcore heavy-Euro strategist who wants to meticulously design long-term plans under fully controllable information every single turn, chasing a perfect win through pure skill and calculation — or when a player who agonizes intensely over every single card draw drags the overall pace, completely killing the speedy, compact melee fun that's unique to 7 Wonders Architects.

Scores by situation
New faces+−
♡♡♡♡♡ [Crowd-pleaser] The rules explanation is so easy it's over in 3 minutes, and the sight alone of the beautifully arranged plastic wonder trays and model components set out by faction grabs everyone's eyes. There's no better opener for a first meeting or an awkward couples' hangout. It kicks off with a single line — 'pick one of the cards on either side' — no complex math needed, and instant conversation and cheerful laughter follow.
Close friends+−
♡♡♡♡☆ [Sure bet] A guaranteed light dose of dopamine when playing with close friends. Snatching away the key resource card your neighbor was eyeing, or rolling the military dice to declare war and shatter the peace at the table — the fun trolling never stops. A great sure bet you can run casually and loudly without any burden of rules explanation or setup.
Strategy+−
♡☆☆☆☆ [Out of its weight class] Every turn is just picking 1 of 3 cards, and random draw luck governs more than half the game. For a group of intermediate strategists chasing careful tech-tree planning, deep resource optimization, or elaborate multiplayer tactics and brain-burning, the depth here is far too shallow and thin to be worth considering as a main or side dish.
Couple+−
♡♡♡☆☆ [Quiet healing] War exists, but losing doesn't shatter your wonder or steal your resources — it just costs you a penalty token. Fine and comfortable as a peaceful, pretty healing game where a couple sits close together assembling colorful wonder models, chatting lightly without tearing each other down.
Duel+−
♡☆☆☆☆ [Mostly luck] Two-player rules are provided cleanly, but with both side piles fully visible, the tension of head-to-head play and the unpredictable thrill of drafting take a big hit. Outcomes lean too heavily on the luck of the draw, so it falls far short in satisfaction for two competitive commanders wanting to settle things through skill and precise calculation alone.
Gateway+−
♡♡♡♡☆ [Recommended gateway] Wonderfully delivers the appeal of two beloved board game mechanics — drafting and set collection — combined with the tactile joy of physical building. That said, luck plays too large a role for the depth and volume needed to maximize the satisfaction of precise build-up, so it falls one notch short of a must-have 5-star pick — but it's still one of the best stepping stones toward growing comfortable with board games and moving to the next level without friction.
